Achieving sustainable societies, in a context of climate change and increasing risks of natural disasters, implies changes of production and consumption patterns, as well as new forms of disaster management. Focusing these challenges the cluster Sustainable Use of Natural Resources, is composed of three working groups. One working group discusses issues about the Water-Land and Energy Nexus, related to Agriculture, Forestry and Mining, as key sectors in Chile and Sweden. Policy-making questions regarding the Green Economy approach are also addressed by the second research group. In addition, the cluster includes a third group focused on disaster management as one crucial aspect of sustainable and resilient societies.
